‘Frasier” has to be one of my all time favorite TV comedy shows, with Marty Crane and his best friend Eddie the dog (a Jack Russell Terrier) my favorite characters.
In the episode 14 of season 11, aptly titled Freudian Sleep, Marty gives us a jazzy rendition of The Sunny Side of the Street. I love this part, and Marty Crane confines in us with his life motto:
“I focus on what’s good about my life.”

My favourite moment from that show was when a caller asked Frasier if she was obligated to pay her friend for some piece of clothing she’d borrowed and ruined. His response was this silly joke: “As the old Greek haberdasher said, Euripedes, Eumenides.” 🙂
Oh, yes! I can see that scene in my mind. Frasier’s referral to 400BC politics in Athens ‘complimented’ by Roz rolling her eyes in the producer’s booth 🙂 🙂 🙂

Yes! They entire cast was magnificent together.
Do you remember Lana’s teenage son, tall, awkward Kirby (Brian Klugman) with a big mass of curly red hair? Frasier was tutoring him. We watched him lately in Bones, as one of Tempe’s ‘squints’. It was a very long time till I realized he was the same actor.
I don’t remember Lana, or Kirby actually. I stopped watching the show sometime after Niles and Daphne finally got together, so I’m guessing they’re newer characters? It’s always fun to recognize actors on different shows, though 🙂
Wonderful tribute to both the show and John, Pat! I was always amazed how differently Kelsey Grammer could portray a character and still look almost exactly the same, lol! Esp thinking of Proven Innocent and The Last Tycoon

I watched a couple of episodes from Proven Innocent and I kept waiting for Kelsey Grammer to say ‘I’m listening’ 🙂 Or at least to smile 🙂 I don’t know The Last Tycoon. I’ll look it up 🙂

Sunny side, yes! Psychologically, and vitamin D Last Tycoon was/is F. Scott Fitzsgerald’s last work, unfinished. Matt Bomer’s in it too, superb costumes and depiction of LA & Hollywood back in the 30s. At 1st I really didn’t like Kelsey’s role in it, then watched him do some real magic with the role, very impressed! And yes, some updates tomorrow or Friday on the 2 latest watercolors (small fixes, enhancements) then soon as able a post on my 1st watercolor on a 6×12, loosely based on one of my photos taken at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center w/our grandson; great social distancing opp for mars, outdoors etc. Anyway, stay safe, stay well, Pat!
Perhaps this is why Frasier lasted for so many seasons. They all did their magic.
